Jonathan doesn't have any children, but he does have two small dogs, a chihuahua named Gracie and a Yorkshire terrier named Stewie. He says that they are his babies and, "The one thing that's a myth is that they're yappy. Mine don't yap at all. They only do it when I come home. Gracie does this banshee thing; it's like this scream. They're both very social. And totally laid back. I call Gracie my little pothead because she just sits back and takes it all in."

"For all those guys out there trying to be macho, I can honestly tell them I have more women at the dog park come up and talk to me! The smaller the dog, the bigger you look. Drew Scott met Linda Phan in 2010 at a Fashion Week event, and they instantly connected. Months later, the two went on their first date and Drew impressed her with his karaoke skills.

They Started Their First Business At Age 7

Jonathan and Drew started their first business when they were just seven years old and called it JAM Enterprises. They made and sold fabric-colored wire hangers to friends at first.

Eventually, a wholesaler in Japan started buying the hangers in bulk, and the brothers ended up making about fifteen thousand dollars. Both boys always worked hard and were good at saving their money. It was their father who encouraged the boys to get jobs.

He said, "I've been asked twice to go on The Bachelor, and once in Canada as well, and I was like, 'It would literally be my nightmare to be put on display and dated out.' Jonathan and Drew Scott are also both health food nuts. When they are traveling, they have local chefs prepare their meals for them in advance so they can take them with them on the road.

He explained, "When we were teenagers, if there was a girl that Drew had a crush on, I would put his clothes on and make an absolute fool out of myself. Then she would never ever call him, talk to him, anything." Another time, Drew tricked Jonathan into walking face-first into a closed door. He said, "There was one of these screens that, you know, you can't see it when the sun's hitting it the right way. Jonathan, a bunch of us were sitting in the room, and I walked in and out several times to show there was nothing there. You can walk in and out. And then I set it up where Jonathan had to run outside, and I quickly shut the screen so he ran into it."

Madame Tussauds is world famous for their collection of lifelike wax statues of famous and infamous people. Jonathan and Drew have also been immortalized in wax, which they used to pull a fast one on some of their fans.

Jonathan said that he has a medieval weapons collection. The collection includes several swords, a suit of armor, and a battle ax. All of the items are usually on display on a shelf near the main entrance to his home.

Their love for renovating and remodeling began at a young age, and they even renovated their childhood bedroom when they were young boys. Jonathan stated, "Growing up, we were in a strict household, so we weren't allowed to have posters of our crushes and stuff on the wall; mine was Christina Applegate."

My mom would just be in there and go away for like 20 minutes and come back, and there would be a completely different look in the room. He said when he's climbing up a hill or going upstairs, the camera will be right behind him, and his pants will split. When it happens, he said he always has bright-colored boxers on.

Both Brothers Love To Travel

The Scott brothers love to travel, and one of Jonathan's favorite places is Bora-Bora. He finds it beautiful, and he finds the history and architecture in Florence to be wonderful.

Drew's favorite destination is Scotland. When he was young, they would explore the small towns of Scotland. He said that he loves to roam the meadows and explore the old abandoned castles. They have traveled all over the world.

They Hate The Tiny House Trend

Tiny houses have become very popular in the last several years, especially with shows like Tiny House Big Living, Tiny House Hunters, and Tiny House Builders. However, Jonathan and Drew want nothing to do with the new trend.

They don't like it because they are often not built to code, and they aren't actually functional. He said they had only seen a couple that actually were practical. They even spent the night in one, but it didn't go well.

Drew Scott Had His First Child In May 2022

Drew and his wife, Linda, welcomed their first child, son Parker James, in May 2022. Drew said, "Our lives are forever changed. Welcome to the world, Parker James. Our new baby boy, he's a healthy baby boy, and he's adorable."

"It's this immediate love, and this feeling of you needing to do everything you can to keep them safe and make them feel loved." Uncle Jonathan does not have any children except his little dogs.

They Use A Private Chef

As mentioned earlier, the brothers have a personal chef when they're on the road. When they travel, a chef prepares their meals for three days at a time. They do it because it keeps them eating healthy, but it is also cheaper than eating out.

The chef usually gives them a list of dishes they can order ahead of time, and then they heat them up when they want them. Jonathan stated that he finds cooking to be very therapeutic but that he just doesn't have time for it. He jokingly said that his plan is to one day be fat and happy.

They Hire Locally 

When the brothers travel from city to city, they actually hire local contractors in each city to do the work on the house they're upgrading. They usually get the work done quickly because they create about one hundred and fifty jobs.

They also like that they aren't leaving the homeowners on their own should anything happen after filming. There is always a warranty on the work from the local contractors, so if they need anything, the workers are right there in town.

They've Always Been Into Giving Back

Jonathan and Drew Scott are often seen on their shows helping people create their dream homes, even when they have limited budgets. That compassion is not just for the show; they are like that in their everyday lives. They have said that their fame has allowed them to bring awareness to issues they feel passionate about. "Our theory is that we are all put on this earth to help one another, and even the smallest of voices can make a drastic difference in someone else's life." ----- Jonathan.

They have also helped out with Habitat for Humanity and were even recognized by Habitat for Humanity with the title of Habitat Humanitarians. Jonathan said, "We have seen firsthand how affordable homeownership changes lives. A home is a place for families to build brighter futures."

They Made Money As 'Apprentice Clowns'

Jonathan and Drew were 'apprentice clowns' when they were just eight years old. They started being hired out as apprentice clowns and continued that for a while. Their alter egos were 'Dimples' and 'Curly,' and they would make about fifty dollars per hour.

They said they would buy candy for all of their friends, but the clown business was short-lived. Jonathan said that he didn't like doing all of the makeup, so he decided to switch to magic when he was thirteen years old.

Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel Are Dating

Today, Jonathan Scott is in a relationship with Zooey Deschanel, and they are very happy. They started dating in 2019 after meeting while filming "Carpool Karaoke" on The Late Late Show with James Corden

The two have gotten pretty serious since then, and in 2021, they said that they were renovating their dream house together in Los Angeles. Zooey has also been on the brother's HGTV shows. Jonathan has also been getting used to his new role as stepdad to Zooey's two children.
